Save money when moving
Get rid of everything you don’t need or what asap!
-The more time your moving company spends moving your items, the more you’ll be paying.
-Avoid holding on to items that will be time consuming to move or pack such as: Fragile items (TV’s, mirrors, artwork), large bed frames and bunk beds, furniture with glass shelves and bulky sofas. Some items take more attention to detail or extra thought when moving it accordingly.
Pack all your own boxes and pack them shut
-Packing materials and time of labor will be heavily up-charged when you hire a moving company to do it for you. Moving companies take on more risk when packing boxes so they will take their time to pack correctly.
-Never overpack a box. When boxes don’t shut, they’re much more difficult to load in the truck which will add more work when loading. Loading is the longest part of the move.
Hire a moving company to only mover certain items
-If you’re capable, move all the smaller items yourself and hire a company to move the bulkier items to avoid injury or damage to property. Moving companies have no problem only moving certain items
